I just did a fresh install of Windows XP on my old computer because I'm giving it away. Installation appeared to go fine, all the drivers installed fine and nothing seemed wrong.

I downloaded all the necessary Microsoft updates then restarted the computer. The second it boots I get a message telling me that there was a problem with the system registry and it had to recover via a recovery file.

The strange part is that this is the exact same problem I had before on a different hard drive after a fresh installation.

So I reset the computer again and that's when the computer starts randomly restarting during boot.

Any ideas what the problem may be?

So I used Dr. Watson to create an error log. I uploaded it. Click DR. WATSON LINK to download. It's a wordpad file. I'm not entirely sure what any of that means so if anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.
