I installed a Western Digital 100GB Caviar SE with a clean install of Windows XP. When looking through the Registry I found 3 entries for Paint Shop Pro 7 by JASC. I found 2 Key entries under HKey_Current_User/Software/Jasc/Paint Shop Pro 7 and HKey_Users with 38 Key subfolders under each. These subfolders include names like ColorPalette, Histogram Window, Image Processing Filter, Layer Palette, Selection Tools, Settings, StyleBackground.Tool10001, StyleForeground.Tool10001, TextureBackground.Tool10001, TextureForeground.Tool10001, Tip, (10 folders named) ToolBarState-Bar0 to -Bar10, ToolOptionsDialog, and TransparencyGrid. Many of these things are found in the program: Histogram Window, Style Background and Foreground, Texture Background and Foreground, Transparency Grid and more. Note that these Keys are under "Software". The wierd thing is that I haven't installed Paint Shop Pro 7 yet. I did transfer some Tutorials, Tubes, Plug-ins and Tips, and the "Getting Started Guide" files from the old hard drive. Anyone have any idea where these Keys came from?
