Hello Robert,

This is my favorite. Free trial for a month. Does a decent job.
I like the Ace Registry Cleaner as well. Another good one is RegSeeker, which is free.
jv16 power tools is about the safest to use,as they can do a lot of damage if not used properly

I think Registry First Aid is the best cleaning program I have ever used :)

Well worth a try!

Bear in mind what Dai said about some can damage your PC by removing needed keys and stay well away from programs that don't tell you what problems it finds or lets you decide what to delete i.e pcbugdocter! :)
I personally use registry mechanic. It's free, and it hasn't let me down just yet.
Earlier version of RegCleaner that is free. There are sometimes issues on WinXP from what I have found. It will either run correctly or it will not run correctly.

Used this for over 2 years on many machines. No problems to date.

The free version only repairs errors from the first six sections !! SOa ny errors in any of the other sections stay !
Well, there's crap cleaner and easy cleaner, both free.
...I got full version. I found (and yes, I know this IS cheating, but they rip you off) a registration key that someone very kindly posted on shaereza. So yeah, I got full version.
Yeah i recommend reg mechanic (RM), because i have used it on so many computers and never had a problem.

I consider Ace Utilities and jv16 to be the best two. Regseeker is another one I tried which was good.
A version of jvi6 can still be obtained for free here; http://www.321download.com/LastFreeware/
Be very careful with regseeker. I used it the other day and shagged up my start-up configuration. Its a good program but you need to know what you are deleting !
Too true, you can easily fork up your operating system with practically any one of these if you ain't careful.

One reason i like RM is kus it makes a restore point first. Also, back up ur registry every week or so.... that seems to help people. (let me put it this way, if you have it ull never need it, if u dont u will)

I've decided to go with this one. Haven't used it yet though.
