On my computer at work I am using Internet Explorer 6.0 on Windows XP. About 60% of the time when I attempt to view a website, I get redirected to a bogus search engine. I have noticed that the status bar will indicate that I have entered an extra www. or .net. For example, if I type "www.espn.com" into the address bar, the status bar will first indicate "opening page," then it will say "msn.search.com" (or something to that affect), then it will change to "loading www.www.espn.com" or "www.espn.com.net." I've done a virus scan, Adaware, CWshredder, etc. I ran Hijack this and didn't find anything suspicious. Needless to say, this can get quite irritating. Any ideas on how I can fix this problem? Thanks.

Post your HijackThis logs to the forum. Perhaps you missed something that others can pick up. You also might want to check out your HOSTS file to make sure there isn't any unwanted entries.
