Dear all, I have a Toshiba satellite M50, (model no psm50l-03g01t) Laptop,
the speed of the machine is annoyingly slow. I tried formatting the hard drive using the recovery disk but it gets to 20% there about, it freezes and comes up with an error message "ERROR #49 WRITE FAULT". Could any one help me resolve this? Thanks.

try other formatting software like DBAN. if symptoms persist consider using a new hard drive.
