I am using a program called MarketBrowser to follow stocks using charts, etc. When saving a worksheet it seems to save OK but when I try to recall it I get a message: Cannot find worksheet "C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\My Documents\Scottrade.mbw". When opening File menu it shows the worksheet to be saved. Looking in explore the only file that shows up in My Documents is a .CHK file labeled "~scottrade_mbw.chk" with a description "Recovered File Fragments-pieces of files found when your disk was scanned". I have uninstalled MarketBrowser and re-installed, run Chk Disk, and defragged but no help! E-mailed MarketBrowser they said this is very rare and their computer techs will check it out.
Computer is a Compaq Presario SR110NX with XP Home, McAfee and Windows firewall turned on. Can't be sure but I think trouble started when McAfee was installed (free from Scottrade). Any help appreciated!
