So im rebuilding my computer. I have a amd 3500 64, 2 gigs of ddr 400, 150 gig hardrive, 535 watter enermax pwr supply, 6800 gt. now my MOB only supports 989 so leaves me pretty limited so i want to rebuild on top of this and get a new mob. My budget is around 600 or so and this computer is for gaming. I have an idea on what i want to do but this is my first time evening building a computer I just want to replace mobo, processer, graphics card and ram with this

motherboard-http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131232
processor-http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115017
video card-http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130335
ram-http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231098 4 gigs worth

Ive been doing as much research as i can but im new to this. I been reading that intels quad cores are performing way better then amd's. I also not sure if my 535 watt enermax is able to handle this. I put this sort of setup in some online website power supply calculators and it says it will be fine. I wont be doing SLI for a while but i want room to upgrade and will add a bigger power supply in the future for when i want to sli. sorry if some of this doesnt make any sense. doing best i can too figure this out and just need some advice. IF there is anything i should change go ahead and tell me.

First of all, I don't think the enermax will cut what you want to do. You best look for a 650 watt quality power supply.

Here are some suggestions:

Seasonic - any model
Corsair - any model
Thermaltake - "Toughpower" series only
Coolermaster - "Real Power Pro" series only
PC Power & Cooling - any model
Silverstone - any model

Second, take a look at the Asus P5K-e wi/fi board for a real smooth and quick board at a reasonable price.

Third, my choice for gaming (since many games don't use all of the capabilities of the quad core) would be the e8400 or e8500 cpu.

Those changes might cause you to rethink the exact memory. (I don't have time to check that right now)
