OS is xp home. i have recently reinstalled win xp because of a large number of errors in the old install, everything went well until it came to sound. when i visit control panel and choose sound devices the system states there are no audio devices and all the option are grey, however i have install the driver and the computer recognises legacy audio drivers in the divice manager list. i'm at my wits end, can anyone help?
