realplayer and repositories with synaptic

i run ubuntu mandrake version 6 or something very similar
i want to install realplayer through synaptic and it needs xlibs, which isnt in my repositories,
where can i get a repository with xlibs?

Ubuntu and Mandrake are two separate Linux distributions. Could you confirm which version of Ubuntu you are using?
How are you trying to install real player? If you have the Universe and Multiverse repositories added, all you should have to do is open the terminal and type:

sudo apt-get install realplayer
Then
Code:
killall gnome panel
(refreshes GNOME Panel)
Realplayer should be in Apps>Sound & Video
