Really need help please

Im 16, and pay monthly for WoW. Just recently, my parents said i was too addicted to computer games even though i only play maybe 2 hours a day. So, naturally, they take it away. I am now only allowed to play on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. I am a straight A student, and am remarkable at sports, so they have no reason to take it away. I need help getting it bak for these few days. When i click on the World of warcraft icon, i get an error message saying " missing shortcut Windows is searching for WOW.exe. To locate the file yourself click browse". Now on Friday and such, my dad puts it back on. Is there any way i could make a copy of this file, put it on a disc somewhere so that when he takes away the original, i can put in the disc, put the file into place, and continue playing? Note that i do not have administrator rights, he does. If necessary, in the solution, i could probably sneek on to an administrator 1 day if needed. Thanks

You say you're not addicted, but you want to circumvent your parents authority to play a game. I'm with your parents on this one.
You could install it in a different folder and hide it in your C:/ drive but dont thats bad u WoW addict
Thanks man lol, im not addicted though, but if I'm paying with my money to play a game monthly i expect to play it when im free.

sorry same here
It's not worth it. Sooner or later, they'll see you playing, and then you'll really be screwed.
No , my dad gets home at 6 my mom at 5, i get home at 2:30 approx, trust me, I wouldn't get caught :) lol. If u have any other ways of helping me out feel free to post :)
Is it just the one file your dad removes or the whole folder?

Reinstall the game and copy the .exe ('start game' file) onto a floppy. Remove the .exe from the game folder so he doesn't suspect, and then copy it back from the floppy any time you want to play. And erase this website from your browser history. Good luck. I'd hate to be in your shoes when you get caught.

Ask your parents to contribute towards the monthly fee. As they are placing limits on your lifestyle they should compensate you financially for lost gaming time.

Trust me, you will.

You’re very fortunate to have parents that take an interest in you, too many kids don't have parents like that.

You may be a straight A student, but the true worth of some lessons aren't learned in a classroom.

For instance: responsibility. Responsibility to oneself, to family, and to community.

Another is respect. Respect for oneself, for family, and for community.

Abraham Lincoln is well remembered for these traits, perhaps you've heard of him.

Learn them. Learn them well. So as you go through life they will serve you well. You will recognize the liars, the cheats, the self-centered, because these traits aren't part of their nature, and a reason why they lack true intellect.

Yes, you’re very fortunate to have parents that are parenting you. You should talk to them instead of us about them.

Thanks guys, also , is there a way i can permanently delete this site from my history, because somehow i had done that with another site :) yet somehow like every few months he finds out what they were. Maybe he has like a secret history lol
Well if he's gone as far as to find out what sites you were going to months before, he may have gone to the trouble to install surveillance software. In that case you're sunk no matter what you do.
Wow sounds like they've got you locked down. Ask your dad to download Firefox, do it, and set the history to 0 days. There's no reason that they should be monitoring every site you visit at 16.
It's their child, it's their perogative. I don't think any of us should be helping him disobey his parents.
It's your parents home and it's their right to set the rules in their home.

TSF is a family oriented site. This is a place to help people, not harm them. You're not asking for advice to resolve this matter to a positive outcome, nor receptive to it. We do not condone juvenile disobedience.
