Re: Speedstream 4200 port forwarding problem w/ PS2/3, won't allow online hosting

I'm not the original poster but I'm having exactly the same problems with the same gear.

My 4200 was not configured with the PPPoA as shown in the how-to link that you posted.

Here is what I see when disabling the current WAN to enable the new bridge:

# VC Type Name
0 0/35 2684 Virtual Circuit [Disable button] [Delete button]
OE BRG [Delete button]
PPPoE PPPoE 0/35 [Delete button]
And the newly created bridge:
1 2/35 OE BRG [Disable button] [Delete button]

I disable the old WAN, enable the new and lose internet connectivity while still able to view modem settings. My DSL light is lit up, but there is no activity.

Would it be unsafe to just DMZ my modem entirely and then set up port forwarding on my router? Would that even solve the problem?

Re: Speedstream 4200 port forwarding problem w/ PS2/3, won't allow online hosting

Even though it appears you're having the same problem, please start a new thread when you have a new issue. It's very difficult to keep two problems straight and who's working on what in a single thread.

I've created a new thread for your issue here.

Note: You will need to post complete details of your configuration and your specific issue in this new thread for us to help you.

Thanks for your cooperation.
