Re-installing Intel Pro/Wireless driver problem.

I can't reinstall The Intel Pro/Wireless 3945 Network connection driver

My computer was getting clogged up with rubbish, so I re-installed Windows using the disk I had, I have re-installed all the drivers with the disk from Dell provided.

When I extract The Intel Pro/Wireless 3945 Network connection driver to my computer and attempt to install the installation wizard gets about a third of the way through the installation. Bottom right hand corner pop-ups saying that there is a wireless network detected. Then there is a loud beeping and the installation process gets cancelled, the installation process reverses and it gets removed.

Any help appreciated.

hi marc1980,

first uninstall wireless driver in Device Manager. also check ADD/REMOVE if there is a program installed related to Intel Pro/Wireless.

reboot the computer. Windows will somehow detect the hardware and will look for drivers. if it does, point to the folder where you extracted the intel wireless 3945 drivers.
