Re-installing FC3

Ok you guys, I did some stupid stuff and I wanna re-install my Linux partition. What I did that was stupid is install this autopackage for AbiWord. Then I removed AbiWord (or I thought I did), and *smacks self in head really hard* removed the binary for the Autopackage-GTK!!!! So now I'm stuck with these icons that can't be removed due to no freakin program, and Urgghhhh!!! I'm mad!!!

My question is *drumroll please*: How would I go about re-installing my Linux partition? Would I boot into Windows, load up partition magic and format the linux & linux swap partitions? I don't wanna try to do anymore to get the crud off, I just want a fresh install so I can have a "clean" Linux. Mind you I don't wanna use fdisk, might ruin my Winders!!!! Then I'd be in trouble :dead:

Any help will be appreciated :sayyes:

Why not just run the install again?

Wipe the partition that linux is on now and just use that space. You don't need XP at all. The installer should have all the tools you need.

Fdisk will give you no problems, assuming you don't touch the NTFS partition.
Fdisk is just a pain to use and can be confusing. Anyhow u can do as u said and use partition magic if you like.

Most linux distros come with an advanced partition tool or do it all for you

You don't need to waste money or time on third party software

Well if he already has it and is comfy with it, i figure might as well let him use it.
