...Had a problem with w2kpro after 2 yrs wanting me to do the administrator password bizo...& woodnt let me get in without it....computer-head friend advice was - bummer!! u gotta reformat etc etc ... so Ive done that- I x formatted C: drive 6gb & obviously a: drive is ok.... I used a w98se bootdsk with all the gear on it, but I'm clue less from here. I've got 4 x w2kpro bootup disks from bootdisk.com wot i got a couple yrs back wen doing this once b4, but all I can get is a C prompt...so its got system files on it & I'm sure there's a generic cd rom driver on that boot-up disk...i've tried cd D: to get to cd-rom to load from my w2kpro disk but no go....I'm sure there's a step in there somewhere I'm missing....any clues? ... its a HP Pavilion N3215 notebook & Ive got someone wanting to buy it so it doesnt look too saleable with the c prompt sitting there. also ive got xp disks if I want to load..but I always ran 2kpro cause HP never listed XP as a compatible...any thoughts on that? I prefer xp cause it looks prettier but w2k pro never really had any problems till now ..HDD = Toshiba 6gb, 256mbram.....any help quickly would be appreciated

You should be able to put the Windows XP disk in the drive and
press F8 at the startup and then change the boot order to
boot from the Windows CD and follow the prompts from threre.
