Re-attacking a Problem Omerr was helping with before

701 Views 4 Replies 2 Participants Last post by  Omerr
In early July Omerr was helping me fix this machine but I had to stop to get married and go travel. I am back and ready to fix. In the meantime it has picked up a few nasties I don't know how to deal with. Would anyone be so kind to help?
Thank you.

Hello again :)

I am currently reviewing your log. Please note that this is under the supervision of an expert analyst. I will be back with a fix for your problem as soon as possible.

Please be patient with me during this time.

We also suggest that you Subscribe to this thread to be notified of fixes as soon as they are posted by our Team. You can do this simply by clicking the "Thread Tools" button located in the original thread line and selecting "Subscribe to this Thread".
Hello again, and congradulations for getting married!

First, I would like to check something:

Download L2MFix from one of these two locations:

http://www.atribune.org/downloads/l2mfix.exe
http://www.downloads.subratam.org/l2mfix.exe

Save the file to your desktop and double click l2mfix.exe. Click the Install button to extract the files and follow the prompts. Then open the newly added l2mfix folder on your desktop. Double click l2mfix.bat and select option #1 for Run Find Log by typing 1 and then pressing Enter. This will scan your computer and it may appear nothing is happening. After a minute or 2, notepad will open with a log. Copy the contents of that log and paste it into this thread.

IMPORTANT: Do NOT run option #2 or any other files in the l2mfix folder until you are asked to do so!

l2mfix could not run

Thank you for congradulating me and thank you for tracking my post to help me again.

This is the message when I tried to run the batch file:

'Not compatible with 9x or windows nt'

Do you know of a version compatible for Windows 9x?
++++ L2M9xFix ++++

Please download L2M9xFix -

Unzip it to the desktop and run RunThis.bat.

A window will open, and your desktop will disappear, then reappear. Please be patient until the batch says it is completed.

Then please restart your computer, and post a new HijackThis log as well as the entire text of the log.txt file which should be in the same folder as RunThis.bat.
