Hi Kenny, welcome to TSF.
This sounds similar to the normalisation problem with DVD audio. When you enable normalisation it reduces the loud sounds to a preset level and increases the quieter sounds, giving a more even overall volume level. That's what it's supposed to do, but I've noticed that over time the volume gradually fades away to near-silent and can only be fixed by rewinding the DVD a few seconds, probably clearing the sound buffer.
I'm not sure how closely this relates to your games problem though. If it's not a faulty card and you have the latest correct drivers installed, check to see if there are any settings in the Creative control panel for sound buffer or normalisation?
