how old is the system?
It could be bad memory or bad power supply.
If you have any spare, try replacing them one at the time.
Also, the message you get:
"..you computer has just recovered from a serious error.."
that message it's refering to the "reboot" itself.
It doesn't refer to the "cause" or "event" that caused the system to reboot. Understand?
By the way, have you checked "Event Viewer"?
