I posted this over in overclocking and haven't received a response, so I thought I'd try here;
I have Corsair XMS2 PC6400-2, TWIN2X2048-6400C4, 2GB total, 2X1GB each. On the stick it says 4-4-4-12 2.1v, in BIOS and CPUID it shows 5-5-5-15 at 1.8v. Will I notice any improvement by changing the voltage to 2.1v? Will the tighter timings do much for general purpose use? (no video editing or gaming).
mobo- Gigabyte GA-EP45-DS3L
cpu- E8400 stock fan
gpu- GeForce 8500GT 1GB
psu- Antec 380w
optical- LG DVD multi
hdd- 2)WD Caviar 250GB sata2 16mb buffer
fans- 1)120mm and 2)80mm
