All,
I am having an issue with my Lenovo T43 Thinkpad recognizing memory.
I have 2048MB (2G) of memory installed (2x 1024 modules) and if I do a CPU-Z is shows as dual, but only 1024 is being used.
I just noticed that it started doing this.
I have booted the laptop with both modules in the slot under the keyboard and nothing in the other slot, on the bottom.
I have also booted it the other way, with modules in the slot on the bottom and nothing in the slot under the keyboard. All boots were successful.
If I go to "My Computer" properties it shows as only 1024MB of memory. I go to the bios and it shows that 2048 are installed.
Belarc shows two memory modules installed:
1024 Megabytes Installed Memory
Slot 'DIMM 1' has 1024 MB
Slot 'DIMM 2' has 1024 MB
Does anybody have any ideas why this is occurring?
Thanks,
-Todd
