All right I own an HP Pavilion Slimline s7320n pc. I have read at the HP website that I can upgrade my RAM. Which I would definetly like todo. I read the spefications,(Max Supported, Type, Etc.) for the RAM and Purchased a brand I have been recommended and used in the past. Kingston, I puchased it from this Website; http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/searchtools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=1010980

HP Says here that this should work: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/...84&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&product=1825172&lang=en

Again, HP has an tutorial for installing or replacing RAM. I read through the tutorial. It suggest I look in my Bios and see what type is installed, So I did.

The Bios claims the RAM is PC2-3200 @ 400MHz.
The HP website say's Pc2-4200 (runs @ 3200)

Now I decided to check the motherboard specs at the Hp website, http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/...66&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&product=1825172&lang=en , It claims the Front Bus Speed is 533MHz.

Hp Website:
" 2 x 240-pin DDR2 DIMM socket for up to 2 GB non-ECC DDR2 533/400 SDRAM Maximum HP/Compaq approved memory is 2 GB "
Now I recieved the RAM in the mail today, the package says:

Compatible
533Mhz (PC2-4200)
400Mhz (PC2-3200)

It also fits into the Memory Bank snug, Yet when I boot up, The Monitor is black.

*Not sure how to edit threads...*

I finished chatting with the HP Represenitive. I updated my Bios and the RAM still wont boot windows. There offering to sell me, HP, 1Gb modules for 30$. Which at a normal price is 50$ per piece.

Unless you guys have any idea's on how to fix this, and it works. I'll be returning the Kingston and purchasing 2x1Gb Modules from HP.
