my GeIL 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) memory is supposed to run at 4-4-4-12 out of the box but it seems that most people have to adjust their computer to run it. I changed these timings in the bios however my ram is still performing very poorly. I did a memory bandwith and memory latency test with both the stock 5-5-5-15 timings and the 4-4-4-12 timings...with both its very slow and not comparable to other memory of the same type. People have reported getting 1200MhZ out of this ram. Im not sure what else to do...my mobo is GIGABYTE GA-P35-S3L LGA 775 Intel P35 ATX...please let me know if anyone has any ideas, i might be missing something small. Thanks

One of those reviews has this:

"Manufacturer Response:Hi,thank you for purchasing GeIL memory. We program all of our memory with a fail-safe SPD layer that's in compliance with the JEDEC Standards which defaults at DDR2-800Mhz 5-5-5-15 1.8v. This ensures that your system can boot up with this memory for the first time and then you can simply set the memory parameters manually. Hope this answers your question and if there's anything that we can assist you with, please don't hesiate to contact us by phone @ 909-993-5998,email to [email protected] or post on our Support Forum by following the link below. Basically the first time you boot the RAM will default to 1.8V at 5-5-5-15. You should adjust the voltage to at least 1.9V. How are you comparing these modules to other memory?

I wouldn't bother comparing any setup with ones provided by Sandra. I've personally never seen anything top them with similar or even better setups. Try doing 3DMark tests, upload them online and look for scores from people with similar setups.
