I just got 2 new sticks of OCZ Platinum ddr2 pc8500 (1066mhz) RAM. I switched from 2 sticks of ddr2 800mhz RAM. Read up online that the mobo supports up to 1066mhz ram. I use SIW.exe, and I look on there and it shows my RAM running as pc5300: 333mhz (DDR2 667mhz). On both sticks it shows that. I obviously should be able to have the memory running atleast at 800mhz. Unless the original RAM wasn't running that, but I had never checked. Here is a link to the screen shot in SIW.exe: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v725/kse_666/ram1.jpg
thanks for any help.

Sorry your right. I'm missing a couple things. The WHOLE model number is EG31M-S2. That's the full thing. Also it has an Intel Core 2 Quad Kentsfield. 2.4ghz, 1066mhz FSB. Umm I have a 500 gb 7200rpm SATA HDD. 400 Watt power Supply. 512mb nVidia 8500gt graphics card. Figure the more info the better.

The board supports 1066 if overclocked
1. 4 x 1.8V DDR2 DIMM sockets supporting up to 4 GB of system memory
2. Dual channel memory architecture
3. Support for DDR2 1066(O.C.)/800/667 MHz memory modules
(Please refer to the memory support list.)

* Because of chipset limitations, do not populate both DIMM sockets of the same channel (e.g. DDRII1 and DDRII2), or populate 4 DIMM sockets with double-sided memory modules to prevent system's failure to start or incorrect detection of memory modules. Please refer to the user manual for the memory configurations table.

* Because of chipset limitations, when using FSB 1333 MHz CPU with populating all DIMM sockets, memory frequency will be reduced from the original, and system instability or incorrect detection of memory module may be occur.
Please refer "Memory Support List" for memory support information.

So you have the memory in the same colored slots?
Motherboard manual> http://america.giga-byte.com/FileList/Manual/motherboard_manual_ga-eg31mf-s2_2.0_e.pdf

On page 47 of the PDF file you'll find the MIT page if you ram is set to auto set it to 533.

Yeah. The board only has two slots. Both yellow. When turning on the comp it has a few scans it runs and on the first page it checks all the devices and says that the memory runs "Dual Channel" and it says like..Interleaved? Or something like that.
