I recently bought high density memory : 2 one gig sticks of 184-pin DIMM, DDR PC2700 memory 333mhz, allthough these were half the price of low density my motherboard only recignises 1 gbt is there any point in changing them to low density as I could only get two 512mb sticks for the same price making the same 1gbt. Please Help.

and welcome to the Forum

Some pcs', Dell for example, will not handle high density RAM. Even it it recognizes 1 Gig, you will likely have memory faults if you continue to use it

For any prebuilt PC. Go to Crucial for RAM. They have an excellent configurator for prebuilts.
