I don't know of any RAID controllers for SATA, but that doesn't mean they don't exist.

RAID - Redundant Array of Inexpensive Disks, is a group of techniques to use multiple disks to enhance speed, reliablilty, or both.

Rather than typing all the stuff in, check out this Description of RAID Levels and get back to us with any specific questions.

Once you read this, I think you'll see that what you're talking about with separate disks for different data doesn't fit into the RAID landscape. :)
