when i download the driver from ATI and go to install it i get 2 errors: "Directx 8 not installed" and "couldn't find a driver compatible with your operating system or hardware."

I have Dx 9 and the video card was working fine before i reinstalled XP.

I am lost...

Hmm... DirectX 8 huh... could try downloading the whole runtime package and try installing the drivers again.

Also, are you SURE you have the right drivers?

I have been trying to install the X800 Series drivers so I'm assuming i am

Dx setup says " Setup could not download the file. Please retry later or check network connection"

If it's talking about an in internet connection that's good. I'm looking stuff up atm.

I manually installed the driver but i get to the wondows screen and it go black then resets. I have to use Safe Mode to do anything.

I reinstalled windows and it fixed it. Thank you for your help!!!
