Radeon HD 2600 XT Video Card Driver Issues

My graphics card is a Radeon HD 2600 XT AGP Video card and I can't seem to get the drivers to work for it. ATI.com has drivers for a 2600 series (PCI-e) when mine is agp. When I try to install the new driver to into my computer I get a msg that says "Setup did not find a driver compatible with your current hardware or operating system."

So how can I fix this?

Welcome to tsf.

The AGP version of the 2600 series is known to be problematic. They usually have a 65-70% success rate. Several have come in before with the same problem. There only a few steps to try.

Update your motherboard bios and drivers to the latest.
Try the drivers that came in the box , if a no go then try the newest.

If still a no go then your one of the unlucky ones. The cards are designed for newer agp systems that where made in the last 2 to 3 years. Although , some have gotten them to work on older machines but there no clear solution on how they did it.
