The AGP version of the 2600 series is known to be problematic. They usually have a 65-70% success rate. Several have come in before with the same problem. There only a few steps to try.
Update your motherboard bios and drivers to the latest.
Try the drivers that came in the box , if a no go then try the newest.
If still a no go then your one of the unlucky ones. The cards are designed for newer agp systems that where made in the last 2 to 3 years. Although , some have gotten them to work on older machines but there no clear solution on how they did it.
