Hi,

My old NVIDIA graphic card wasn't working; I was getting traces all over the screen and only possible to get into windows by using fail safe mode. So I bought a new Radeon 9600 with an AGP slot.

So, I uninstalled all the drivers that I could find for my old card in the task manager.
After putting my new Radeon 9600 in the AGP slot and connecting everything back together my monitor doesn’t turn on.

Then I tried using a friends ATI card (don’t know the name) with AGP connection on my computer and it worked on the first try. Thinking that my card might be broke, I try my card on his computer, but it works perfectly…

Also, I have no onboard video. I’m not sure which motherboard I have so I don’t know how to flash my BIOS. But since my friend’s card worked directly why doesn’t my card work as well?

What can I do to solve this?

Very grateful for advice
