Hi,

have an HP Envy 14 purchased in October 2011 with Radeon 6630m switchable gpu.

First the motherboard crashed, so sent that in and they replaced that and mentioned they also updated the bios. Got it back today and thought everything was working great until i tried to hook it up to a monitor. Nada.

Usually run out to two 1920x1080 monitors (1 hdmi and 1 displayport to vga converter). Worked almost perfectly out of the box when i bought the machine. But since i got it back, i can get it to show up on the dp/vga monitor briefly during boot (occasionally). but other than that nothing. uninstalled the drivers, reinstalled latest graphics card driver from HP, turned everything on and off, no dice. tried running ubuntu off a jump drive to test it out, but for some reason this computer doesn't like doing that.

Any ideas? I run a small business off this computer so losing it for another week or two to ship it in is really going to be tough. Advice & suggestions greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

B
