So one day my computer is working totally fine, I'm playing all my games and they work fine. The next morning, I turn my pc on, and it looks like all is still well. However, after the bootup bar that vista shows before the windows pearl, the screen just goes entirely blank. I shut off the pc, go into safe mode, uninstall the driver for my video card, and then reboot the pc. It boots up fine without problem (except that it's got a terrible resolution). So once I log in, the pc says it's trying to reinstall the drivers, but it fails. Also, after this failed reinstallation, if I try to restart the pc, I get the blank screen again. Next thing I try is to go into safe mode and uninstall the drivers with drivercleaner, which only partly works... and then when I try and reinstall the drivers it says there are "errors" and the problem comes back. Does anybody know what the problem is or how I can fix it?

1. Is that's what is really causing the problem?

2. Does my graphics card need to be replaced?

3. Is there any way to fix it in the meantime without buying a new psu?

thats what weak PSU's do.

They work for a couple months than fail after the stress put on them. You know that a person finaly snaps and has a nervous breakdown. And PSU's they always commit suicide.
