Hello all My name is George,,I was given a HP dv 6000. It's an Amd Turion 64,,with Windows XP Pro media center. The Quick Play Direct player is the culprit on this issue. The laptop doesn't boot up after the Quick Play comes up,,and the laptop goes into hibernation.Whenever i pass throught the quick play and windows boot up,I make the change to disable the hibernation,,but as soon I restart,it goes back to hibernate and there is no sound, even though i deleted the driver and reinstalled it.I deleted the Quick Play software and the laptop boots up with ease.

I decided to to reinstall the Quick Play Direct software through the Application/driver recovery and the reinstall freezes the laptop,,is there a way not to have this software and have sound back?

My main concern here, was to know what such a hassle was the QuickPlay was giving me,to boot up windows,as a result i downloaded the Bios Flash update installed it and the problem seems resolved, the laptop seems to boot up accordingly,,now,,,the problem that still around the sound aint there,,I partially open up the laptop ti verify,if indeed i had speakers, but there seems to be hidden behind and I wasn't going to dismantle the laptop. The help i need now is how to espablish the sound, does Quick Play Software controls the sound?
