When you formatted with the xp tool it left remnants of the past install.
You should have wiped the disk with killdisk, do a google free download.
When you use killdisk your assured of a clean hdd. You then need to
format with xp and install os.
Ever wonder why formatting with xp is so quick? Now you have your
answer, does a poor job.

Hello Kiran Yeolekar

I am a bit puzzled here.
Firstly, I have never known this to happen after a reformat and reinstall of XP

Secondly
I had removed all QH programme elated files from my computer.
This statement makes me think you had to manually remove the files for Quick Heal. You should not have had to do that if the drive had been formatted.
Did you actually format the drive?
