Does running two video cards on the same system and monitor actually use the full capabilities of both of the cards for any given operation or does it just use the default card?

Would using an extra monitor and setting up an extended desktop allow me to use both cards at the same time or would it just work the card and monitor pairs independently?

What extended desktop will allow you to do is stretch the desktop across two monitors (thus using two cards at the same time to do so).

I don't think using two different cards on the same monitor at the same time is even possible; having two cards in and plugging the monitor into one will not help a single bit.

The only video card, that work together is the 3DFX VOODOO 2 Is
the only card. You need the same exact cards!
