i have a new laptop and i was just curious if anyone could tell my why i fail on systemrequirmentslap the results for "left 4 Dead" are below, it says i fail video but all the specs like vid ram/pixelshader version ect see to all meet the req. thanks for any help, just want to know how reliable requirmentslab is before i go buy any games.

The "Can You Run It?" site is a useful guide, but it is not absolute. However, intergrated graphics/video may not have all the "right stuff" needed to support an graphics intensive game. You may get video glitches, slowdowns or, worse, not run at all.

Have you checked the "Left 4 Dead" website to see if your laptop Intel graphics are supported? Or if others, who also have laptops, have posted having problems...or not.

When was the last time you updated its drivers? Installing extra RAM is the cheapest way to improve your chipset performance....usually. VISTA requires 2 Gig RAM just to run the OS.

you see the site doesn't like the intergrated graphics because it uses shared memory not dedicated memory. As long as your card has the right vertex shader versions and all that jazz you should be good to go.

I've had it fail for my girlfriend's laptop for the game "Faces of War". sure the game lagged but it still played it.

Is this a laptop?
