So I have an AMD A8-3800 processor. It has 512mb Radeon HD6550 integrated into the processor. I recently purchased a Radeon HD 6790 gpu. This card obviously plays games a lot better than the graphics on the processor did. I was just curious, is it possible to use the graphics processing from the both the cpu and gpu together in a sort of crossfire to give better performance? I don't even know if this is possible, but I figured I would ask around.

I figured that was the case. I just hate seeing those graphics go to waste. Thanks for the reply though.

Actually it is possible to crossfire with your on board gpu. But as alanmtt says you will get better performance from your 6790. This type off crossfire is meant for entry level gaming systems.
