Hay guys, I just received my laptop (Sager np6165) and noticed there is a button that allows you to switch from Uma mode to Optimus mode, but I have almost no idea what that means or how I can use it to help whenever I use my laptop for regular use or gaming.

So my questions

1. I read online somewhere that I should just leave Optimus mode on, because nvidia will decide whether to use igpu or dgpu. Is that true? Should I just leave optimus mode on?

2. When would I ever use UMA mode if Optimus mode automatically switches for you based on the need?

3. Does it really make a significant difference on battery life depending if your using UMA or Optimus mode? (not including gaming, just regular use)

A description of the buttons function(s) should be in the owners manual.
The "Optimus" mode would probably consume more power but the laptop should be on AC power when attempting to game.
