Question About Restoring Back Files
I have a HDD from an XP Pro machine hooked up to my Win7 machine. I can browse it's files as if it were any other storage device. This HDD has issues and I need to reinstall XP Pro on it and I don't want to lose the data. So I ran the back up utility in Win7 and made a full back up of this drive (E: drive).
My question is, when I reinstall XP on the E: drive, I'm going to have to boot into Win7 and run the Restore Wizard, to restore the E: drive files i backed up right? What kind of problems will I run into doing this? I assume I will because I'm on Win7 and I'm trying to restore an XP back up.
