As in every Dell Inspiron 1525 the video card component is integrated and so horribly slow that it can hardly do anything.
When I play Secondlife (an online game) the graphics are very bad. I have 4 GB of RAM and the program only takes about half of my CPU and memory, and my wireless connection is very quick so I've narrowed the problem down to the video.
When I'm running the program and I do right-click-graphics properties in the desktop it says I'm only using 150ish out of 358 MB maximum video memory. I know that if it used the full 358 the program would look better. Is there a way I can make it so that the program uses as much video memory as possible (w/o overclocking)?
On a side note, I wanted to know if it's possible to put a video card into the laptop. I read somewhere that the 1525 has a single PCI slot which the ethernet card is plugged into. Would it be possible to plug in a standard video card into that slot?
The video I have right now is a 965 Express Chipset that is default in these laptops.
