I'm running windows xp and my motherboard is a Dell Optiplex G280.

I bought a "XFX - ATI RADEON HD 4650 1GB DDR2 PCI Express Graphics Card" for my computer, but my computer wouldn't be able to handle it so far because the power supply is only 250W.

However, I do have a 400W power supply in my old computer. Would it be possible to to just swap my current 250W with my old 400W?

Here is a picture of my 400W:

If not, is there any alternatives I can do?

It will not work, and is probably weaker than your 250W PSU. 13A on the +12V rail makes it a 200W power supply under realistic load distribution. That's a Pentium 3 era PSU and is not suited for running a modern system.

Something like a Corsair VX series PSU would be ideal.

Oh Okay, so all I have to do is buy a new PSU? Do I still have to worry about compatibility with the motherboard and PSU if I buy one of the ones you recommended?
