Question about my new Asus laptop.

Ok so I purchased a new laptop this evening,it is super fast. Specs are:

Intel Quad Core Q9000
Geforce 240m 1 GB VRam
4GB DDR3
320gb Hard Drive

I know it can play many games but I putin oblivion, maxed everything out at 1600x900, and there was some framerate drops in the forest area. I expected some but not that much, it dropped to like 10-20 fps. Shouldn't those specs blow oblivion to kingdom come?

I also have Windows 7 64 bit.
