Question about Gmail & Firefox -- Constant Refreshing?

Once every couple of days, my Gmail account will not work with the Firefox browser. I am able to access the login page, enter my password & sort of get into my account... but then the page will load over & over again. This does not happen with IE. But I hate IE.

I have the Gmail notifier, but this problem happened on my last computer with Firefox & that peice of crap ran on Windows ME. At the time, I assumed the problem was due to a less-than-stellar computer or a virus & used IE to check my email.

This same problem occurred the other day & it fixed itself -- any ideas how to fix it besides waiting for grace from above?

P.S. Sorry if this is a ridiculously stupid question and/or if it's in the wrong place. Obviously, I'm new here. I really appreciate any & all help you can offer though! :heartlove
