mmmkay, so.
I live in the middle of no where and the only internet we can get out here is dial up.
I have AOL for an ISP, but the browser sucks...So I downloaded Mozilla to browse, etc.
But with me using Mozilla requires me to leave the AOL browser box open, because if I close it, it will kill the internet connection, which makes my PC run slow. So I tried to set up an alternative connection using network places, and it says the username isnt registered or something with the ISP. I typed in AOL as the ISP and my screenname for the AOL browser, and im at a loss as to what to do....
Does anyone know why this is happening and can anyone help me out?

I'm sure you can sign up with an ISP other than AOL, which would be my recommendation.

Anyway..
Would that require like....changing billing and all that stuff?
Or can I just click something online or something along the lines of that....

You will have to get rid of AOL, which is sometimes very difficult. They are like a virus, and they REALLY don't want people to quit their service. Do an on-line search about AOL account issues, it's quite illuminating. :smile:

You need to find an ISP that services your area and has a local number so you won't pay long distance charges, then signup with their service.
