Please help me. I'm getting absolutely destroyed by popups. I've never seen anything this impossible to stop. I run adaware and it removes a TON of stuff, but then it all comes right back. I've downloaded the free AVG antivirus and it removes a ton of stuff but it all comes right back too. Well, it's gone until I reboot, and that's when it all comes right back. Of all the things I've seen show up when running the antivirus, the ones that always show up are purityscan and win32.trojan.agent. There are a lot more but these seem to always show up. I hope this info helps.

I'm talking a popup every minute or so until I have over 51...it's insane. I'm using Firefox and the popups are of course explorer related.

Also, I used to have a Norton Antivirus that a friend put on my computer. It caused problems because it slowed down my computer so I took it off, but then it didn't reset the windows firewall...or maybe it did, I don't know.
The point is I'm getting destroyed here and can't even barely use my computer.

I have hijack this and am going to run it and post a log of it here so you have something to work with. Thank you so much for your help in advance.

Apologises for the delay getting to your log. The helpers here are all volunteers and we have been very busy lately. If you are still having malware problems,follow instructions below.

Download Deckard's System Scanner (DSS) to your Desktop. Note: You must be logged onto an account with administrator privileges.

1. Close all applications and windows.
2. Double-click on dss.exe to run it, and follow the prompts.
3. When the scan is complete, two text files will open - main.txt <- this one will be maximized and extra.txt <-this one will be minimized
4. Copy (Ctrl+A then Ctrl+C) and paste (Ctrl+V) the contents of main.txt here.
5. Please attach extra.txt to your post.

To attach a file to a new post, simply

1. Click the[Manage Attachments] button under Additional Options > Attach Files on the post composition page, and
2. copy and paste the following into the "Upload File from your Computer" box:
   C:\Deckard\System Scanner\extra.txt
   ​
3. Click Upload.

What DSS will do:

• create a new System Restore point in Windows XP and Vista.
• clean your Temporary Files, Downloaded Program Files, and Internet Cache Files, and also empty the Recycle Bin on all drives.
• check some important areas of your system and produce a report for your analyst to review. DSS automatically runs HijackThis for you, but it will also install and place a shortcut to HijackThis on your desktop if you do not already have HijackThis installed.
