Hi,

A couple days ago my PS3 randomly stopped displaying on my HD TV which is HDCP compatible. In an attempt to fix it, I left it unplugged for a night and still hasn't returned a HDMI signal. Now, I've researched on the net and apparently some of the causes are as follows

1) The HDCP chip has burnt out
2) My TV has BLACKLISTED the connection from PS3 to TV?(NOW ***? I can't even comprehend why that would happen?)
3)My PS3 port has gone bust(can't possibly be, it works on other HD TV's)

It's definitely the BLACKLISTED thing, can somebody please explain that to me? I've never heard of such?

So please guys, I need your help, thanks.

Hey mate, Welcome to TSF,

I have never heard of such a feature myself, but if you could tell us the Make and Model, we may be able to find a user guide or somebody may know how to fix it.

Cheers,

Try your PS3 on another HDCP compatible HDTV, or if not possible then a regular HDTV.
Try another device (e.g. Xbox 360, laptop, another PS3 etc.) on that particular TV.

This should help highlight the problem.
