i have the same problem with a brandnew slim ps 2
PS2 crashed
My PS2(SCPH-35001) comes on, but I get no picture nor sound on TV. It tries to boot, but gives just a flash when turned on then nothing. I've tried resetting it & problem persists
The tray opens/closes ok.
I've checked the AV cables(tried other cables) connections and all, but that is not the problem.
Your advice anyone please
