I installed a Promise 133 TX2 IDE controller card into a PII Win98 machine. It will boot into safe mode but not into normal mode. When i take the card out it will boot. I have tried two different slots and it is a brand new card. the website says it is compatible with windows 98. it seems to be a driver issue bc it will boot in safe mode, any ideas, i will try to replace tonight with an older IDE card, but i am open to suggestions...
