I had purchased Norton AV 2004 a while ago, but then decided I wanted the utilities, as well. SOOO...when I went to get THAT, it looked like everything was bundled together so I ended up with a new verision (upgrade, pretty much). Well, in the meantime, I TOTALLY cannot find the jewel case for my RETAIL version of 2004 (I have the original CD and ALL and it isn't being used on ANY computer).

I had posted a few days ago about my mother not having a Norton CD that came with the Dell. I thought maybe if I could give this to her, she can use that, but how do I get a replacement product code for it? I mean, do I REALLY have to call Norton and pay out the nose to get a new one?

If you registered with them when [if?] you first installed it, they should still have a record and will "probably" fix it for you.
If you didn't do the register thing as long as you have some kind of proof of purchase they will then again "probably" fix it for you.
Other than that, you could just get free Anti-Virus stuff. [eg AVG Free Edition. ] :sayyes:

I'm not sure if the code is recoverable from the hd in the same way as your M$ code is. Maybe someone who uses Norton can reply.

Piracy is the last option, which this forum does not promote, obviously. :4-thatsba

Ohh..noo..I am not asking for a KEY for it.....I don't do illegal copies of software or anything like that. I just didn't know if I would have to PAY for a call to Symantec for it or if there was a different number for them that I could use.
