problems

Hello, i have a few problems going on w/my computer. I have had many users and somewhere something went wrong. I can't perform recovery/restore-it will allow me to enter a date but there is a red x telling me protection so i get no where - the second is i have tried fixing the problems and it tells me successful but somewhere there is an error- third my curser is always jumping around as i type. I don't know what to do so if anyone can assist me i thank you in advance
