Problems with wireless

849 Views 3 Replies 2 Participants Last post by  2xg
Hello, I am using a custom-build desktop around 6/7 months old, it uses windows 7 64-bit. I am having a few troubles with my desktop, I had to replace my wireless card a few days ago ( it broke ) and swapped it for a new one. This new one actually works fine, on other computers. On my gaming desktop it does but I could for example, only surf the web and chat on msn. Anyhow whenever I run some big program like TF2 or other games, I could list a few but that is not really the point. My wireless crashes, and I have to reboot the wireless card in order to make it work again. I tried to re-install the driver and such. Still though I am having the same trouble.

(In case if it is not clear the problem is coming from my desktop)

I just wondered if anyone could help me out.

The wireless card is ( Netgear WNDA3100 v2 )

Thanks for any replies which could help me out.

Hello and Welcome to TSF!

First off...I would update your router's firmware to the latest one and can be downloaded from the manufacturer's site.

========================
From your wireless computer pls. run Xirrus Wi-Fi Inspector
Here's a more detail guide => Double click on the xirrus icon on your desktop of if you have one running in a corner, just click on it. Tap the Printscreen key on your keyboard, open up Paint then choose Edit from the Menu and select Paste, then SAVE it. Upload and attached it here, click on Go Advanced and locate Manage Attachments Tab and attached the file.

========================
Have you Port forwarded the Port Numbers for your Games? Here's the link for the list of diff. Port Numbers. You may find the instruction on how to Port forward here.
Thanks for the update. Glad that you got it all sorted out.

You're Welcome!
