On four occasions when I've tried to view this thread http://www.techsupportforum.com/forums/f217/my-comp-was-hacked-please-help-624237.html my laptop has frozen and I've had to shut it down.

I haven't tried it with any other browser other than the IE9 that I use.

On restarting I've run Norton Power Eraser to include the Rootkit but so far, it hasn't reported anything untoward.

The post has had 5 replies so some must be able to view it, but was wondering if anyone else has experienced this with this thread.

Not sure if it could be infected but a week ago when browsing the forum, Norton blocked an attack by Fake App. I didn't make a note of the full details, but thought it prudent not to visit for a short while and other than with the thread I've highlighted, I've had no other problems.

Just thought I'd bring this to someone's attention and apologies if it has already been covered.

Hi Tomken15,

The first post in that thread is exceptionally long, I expect your issues are just loading problems due to the length of the first post.

Is this issue occurring at any other time, or have you only experienced it when trying to access that thread?

Hi someguy,

There can be some lag when navigating from one post to another on this forum but with that one, it seemed never-ending.

The reason I was wondering if there was something amiss was because I couldn't even close the window down via the window close X box, like I would normally do if a site was taking (for me) too long to load.

I'll give it another try and sit it out this time, Thanks

EDIT..... Just tried it and it loaded straight away, so don't know what was happening previously.
