I recently upgraded my computer to a 1GB SSHD drive. My computer is a Dell Inspiron M5040 8 GB RAM Windows 7 64 bit. When I completed the hard drive update, I first installed Windows 7, then the AMD chipset, network drivers, etc. however, now I'm having all sorts of problems when trying to view videos, etc. and mostly when connecting the computer via an HDMI cable to my TV. I get this freezing and buzzing sound and it's annoying.

I've tried updating the drivers from the Dell support site by entering my Service Tag number. Unfortunately, the driver they have for my Dell 1704 WLAN card doesn't even work because my wireless Internet is not even working as well.

So my question is would anyone happen to know what are the correct drivers for the Video, and WLAN card because I updated the audio driver and that one worked.

What is the make and model# of your video card? Go to the manufacturers support/download drivers and Update the Video card driver for your card.

My video card is an AMD E-450 APU with Radeon HD Graphics, however, I already tried downloading the latest update from AMD using the AutoDetect application. Unfortunately, all it did was mess up the audio. After uploading it, I could no longer hear any audio from the computer. I decided to delete the AMD update and just reinstall the video driver update from the Dell support site (even though that update is from 2011 or 2013). Truly ridiculous they can't even post the proper updates. Unfortunately, now I have no wireless Internet and a buzzing/freezing computer.

Would really appreciate someone's help...

Go to Start/Search and type devmgmt.msc, Right click the devmgmt results and Run As Administrator. In the Elevated Device Manager are there any devices with yellow flags? If so, these devices need drivers installed.
If there are no yellow flags, Expand the device you are having a problem with (eg) Network Adapters, right click the WLAN device and choose Properties/Driver/Roll Back Driver to a driver that was working previously.
If you want to reinstall the original driver, go to the Dell Support/Download Drivers site for your model. Product Support | Dell US. don't use your service tag # this time. Choose your version of Windows 7 (eg) 32bit or 64bit. Download the Chipset Driver, the ATI Video driver, the IDT Audio driver. After installing all of that, even though you have tried it before, download the Dell 1704 WLAN driver again. If that doesn't work try one of the older drivers for the WLAN.
Dell offers drivers that were written specifically for that computer on the day it was released, and are usually not updated to the most recent driver, but usually work better then newer drivers because they were written specifically for this model

The best video drivers for that model are now regarded as legacy drivers as newer drivers no longer support that older model. I recommend using only the Manufacturers drivers, do not download them directly from AMD.
